Tadasana, known as Mountain Pose, serves as the foundational posture in yoga, embodying strength and stability reminiscent of a majestic mountain peak.

  • Begin by standing tall with feet together or hip-width apart, grounding firmly into the earth below you.

  • Engage your leg muscles, drawing energy up through the thighs while simultaneously lengthening the spine from the tailbone to the crown of the head.

  • Relax the shoulders down the back, allowing the arms to hang naturally by your sides with palms facing forward.

  • Lift through the crown of the head, aligning your body in one straight line from the feet to the crown, finding a sense of balance and equilibrium.
